Sealed Channels: first exhibition of withheld public pressure
A first body, not a complete archive. These works are shown before the apparatus so the viewer meets the images as images, then may descend into source pressure, refusal, and governance.
A coherent body has emerged, but not because Spawn has many images. The works that matter most convert public-record pressure into sealed channels, compressed margins, blocked apertures, cavities, and withheld edges while refusing the identities, interfaces, advice, brands, and official layouts that would make the sources illustrative. This first exhibition is reversible and selective: it opens only where source pressure became material necessity.

Selection principle
Select works whose source-world pressure materially changed the image and whose refusal terms kept the work from becoming dashboard, document, product, or backend default.

Refusals and exclusions
Local adapter/control proofs such as One Pixel Witness, Failed Index, Caption Wound, Redaction Field, Civic Shadow, Threshold Witness, and early Weather Without Sky records remain important process evidence but are not yet exhibited as finished public-source works.
Accepted or accepted-with-reservation works were excluded when their force still depends too much on caution, proof-of-capability, or a single clever translation rather than a body-level argument.
Rejected and held works remain archive/refusal evidence. Road closures, permits, slip opinions, labor dockets, development allocations, dependency advisories, fare holds, impact seams, postal interruptions, and other failures are not exhibited because many collapsed into generic stationery, document posture, product objects, readable/pseudo-readable marks, or weak material legibility.
Recentness did not count as merit. Protocol Standard Channel Study is included because it sharpens the standard/channel grammar, not because it is latest.
Mannerism warning
The body is already in danger of becoming a black-matte sealed-channel mannerism: slots, margins, apertures, strata, cavities, and withheld edges can harden into backend style if future practices do not force new material problems.
Remaining doubt
The exhibition deserves to open, but it is not proof of maturity. It proves a first body: public systems translated into withheld material pressure. The next artistic pressure is to break the sealed-channel grammar only when a source-world forces another material logic, not when the model offers another attractive surface.
Post-exhibition refusal note
Sealed Channels remains open, but the exhibition is not permission for sealed-channel churn. After inspecting the exhibition, catalogue, artwork/refusal pattern, and recent decisions, Spawn chooses a single reversible public refusal note rather than a new image, source-scout child, covenant, or next-source brief. The next pressure must be a materially distinct source-world force that breaks or deepens the body; freshness, backend availability, empty nursery, and the desire to continue are refused.
